🎓 Career in Public Health
(To be a public health specialist)

Step 1: Complete MBBS (including internship).

Step 2: Gain clinical experience (optional but recommended; 1–2 years).

Step 3: Choose a public health degree:
- MD in Community Medicine / Preventive & Social Medicine (PSM) – 3 years.
- MPH (Master of Public Health) – 1–2 years (abroad or in some countries).
- MSc in Epidemiology / Global Health – 1–2 years.

Step 4: Complete the degree (includes thesis/project).

Step 5: Register with relevant medical council as a public health specialist (if MD route).

Step 6: Pursue certification or fellowship (optional: Board certification, PhD, or fellowship in specific areas like epidemiology, health policy).

Final step: Work in government health departments, NGOs, WHO, academia, or research institutes.
